One thought on “Session: Jan 04 2021, Tue

  1. Crossed over past 12 midnight so just made this session date from phone.

Busy yesterday. The one who tried to intimidate / scare me ended up calling me to ask for my help.

    LOL!

And so I helped because what would Jesus do?

I do realize a whole lot of people suffer through pride, frustration and undisplaced anger.

Christ Followers are not doormats. But when we are wronged, especially as we are sharing God’s Truth as it applies TODAY and every day, we can only plant seeds. Those who kick or mock us while at it answers to God.

So that was a lesson for me – that is what Jesus taught in the Gospels, love your enemies. Help them when they need it and there is NOBODY else who can truly help them.

That person didn’t like that I was the only one that had to be called to help out.

And help, I did, through God’s grace. (Because the old me would have just said “HUWATTT!!! After what you did and said?!!!”)

And I had the opportunity to once again say “nothing, as in NOTHING happens on earth unless ordained by God”. We all answer to Him. Whether people believe Him or not.

And God commands not to oppress widows or orphans. His punishment for that is awful – it’s in the Old Testament.

And on another note …. someone from the other company sent me an email to sign up to yet another website – that to a techie – it looked so questionable, with expired SSL certificates, nope, not going to put my details in there, Cryptology 101.

… and THEN someone called me, the lady knew my name, and my cellphone (I am on the Do Not Call Registry), so I listened and “recognized” the phone script she was reading, she said she knows I just got my State License and wanted to offer me blah blah blah …. hmmmm … then i asked what IMO she was with. And said the company that’s been asking me to put all my info in a gazillion websites and spamming my business email.

Then I asked how did she get my number, and kept on deflecting, (“Follow the script! Like a robot!”)

… because I am on the “Do Not Call Registry”

… I also said “if you bought my number from a Leads List then loaded it up on a phone software for autodials (which registers as “Scam Likely” on my incoming call warning)

… I was going to say she should not waste her money paying for my number as a “lead” – but she got scared when I said “because I am on the Do Not Call Registry” – the fines of the FTC is kinda hefty for that – in the thousands, PER CALL!

Click. She hung up. So then, I looked at all these other sites and went on techie mode.

So, it’s great I am documenting my experience here.

I went and spoke to people about it in “good faith” because I actually have been helping families already. If I got targeted after I trusted them with my business email, then they spam me, I can just change the email.

So for this session, my tip is …

… separate your important email addresses, from personal, to banking, or social media email to business and make it business or company specific. That way, when one email gets compromised, for the important legitimate contacts – they can always directly call me (that is, IF I personally gave them my cellphone).

If one would be a telemarketer – build your website, when you outsource the call center, they ALSO load up your customer’s numbers and details, then sell that information. These types of companies (third party vendors) usually don’t tell the customers that.

    Same with Ticket Systems.

    Same with chat systems.

    Same with WordPress Themes.

Why did I decide to build and develop my own here on this website and the other websites that I am an Admin of? That’s what Full Stack Developers do.

    It’s about TRUST.

Do what you say you will do.

There’s a lot of evil in technology. Protect your customers.

I called my other insurance person today, it helps to know I can call him directly. He sent me my policy as requested immediately. He gave me tips too.

I got my license so I can also help families, but there’s just way too many red flags this early, and the phone call I got “pitching” something to me just told me that oops .., all the info I trusted ANOTHER company just sold my information to their own agents.

It’s a wait and see what they do on the four contracts I submitted through them.

I am not risking my new license to such trickery that I am noticing this early. I reached out to someone a “Leader” who “left”. I reached out because he was a Christ Follower too. The talk was a confirmation and validation of what I was already noticing.

There’s a way to do business, and there is a way to do business with truthfulness. Nobody should ever be comfortable with lying to customers. I felt lied to.

One site that I entered was pitching me 5 other courses (who is getting affiliate commissions on all these?!!!)

Anyway, one thing great about being a newbie in an industry is you get to see it for what it is, so this honest feedback on what I am seeing and doing is helping me decide, whether to recommend them or not.

I’ll wait and see what they decide on the 3 other “pending contracts”. There’s no way for me to “withdraw” or delete my information there.

The List Owner who have been spamming me that I sent a note to, is visiting this site. So, if he is a “leader”, he needs to check the FTC. And the GDPR too, and having a “Disclosure” and an “Income Disclaimer” on their website. Read up on ICANN rules too.

Best yet, read the Gospels. 🙂

I will pitch you that. 🙂
