… received direct email from “License” with a tdi.texas.gov domain, that my License has been approved.
… called the Admin and was informed I will be getting a bunch of emails that might get confusing, so she explained H_M_ and S_r_LC would be the affiliated vendors.
… then I learned that I had to get an E&O Insurance (for up to $1 Million). DONE.
… then I got an email from “Support H_M_” with the “u_p_t_p dot com” domain, for Onboarding. DONE.
… then I got an email from “setup” with the “s_r_n_e_a_ dot com” domain, DONE.
… then I got an email from “e_o” with the “s_r_n_e_a_ dot com” domain, selling me E&O Insurance. (BUT WAIT! I already bought one with another company… so I just uploaded my E&O Certificate).
… then I got an email from “F_L S_p_o_t” supposedly, but the domain says, “c_g_c_u_r_a_ DOT com”. (WAIT, that vendor name wasn’t mentioned in the Onboarding phone conversation I had yesterday, so I called the Admin 12/30/2021 Thursday) and asked, so got more clarifications from it – she also does not know who or what that is).
… got an email from “F_L U_A” with the domain that says, “f_l_s_ DOT com”
… got an email from “F_L U_A” with the domain that says, “em DOT t_a_h_b_e DOT com”
… got an email from “F_L U_A” with the domain that says, “f_l_s_ DOT com” … total automated email received from “F_L U_A” with different domain names, so the free Bootcamp Training, that was the “email flow” that I experienced. I am documenting this because it would be useful for another new person coming in, on what to expect happens after you join an IMO (Insurance Marketing Organization).
… I know enough about Online Marketing and the RULES that apply before you load one’s email address to a specific email list.
… Spoof email is described as having a FROM and then the domain is DIFFERENT and THAT didn’t sit right with me this afternoon.
… Had to remind myself that I am an INDEPENDENT contractor, and having my background in I.T. and also Biomedical Informatics, I would NOT want my info and my clients’ info all over the place. That’s why I developed and installed my own “autoresponders” on specific websites, and even here on this website, I have installed the calendar/scheduler, and the ticket system from within this portal / domain name. It’s just much safer that way.
Honesty, transparency. That’s is so important to me. I got assigned to another Agency that is under Leader 2’s agency, so I also called to get clarifications on that. (I got confused because of the different “From” and actual “domains” from which these emails are coming from).

… got an email with instructions on how to create a contracting request. DONE.
Anyway, so I’ve documented what it took for me to get from “Idea” to “Getting a License”, and have submitted four Contracts and Applications today.
… also got another email from “F_L S_p_o_t” supposedly, but the domain says, “c_g_c_u_r_a_ DOT com” for me to “Activate my Account”. HUH? If it was an Agency Vendor, it would have been helpful to be told that upfront. I looked them up. Looks like my email got loaded ELSEWHERE. I am just going to make sure I don’t get “distracted” with other emails and pitchfests. That’s like the MLM type of email bombardment that I do not like, nor would I want others to experience too.
I will be the ONE contractually bound to the four companies so I will make sure I am COMPLIANT on each, when it comes to “information-sharing” – if I can get the access to these specific carriers’ API’s, I will just put them on this portal, so that I can protect information better. If I use any “FREE” portals, and then experience this type of email bombardment, I will unsubscribe. There is also a link that goes to YET another external website that sells “Merch”… oh well…
… personally, now that I think I’ve done all that was required, I can go back to my other projects while waiting for those four “Contracts to get approved or not”. It’s in God’s hands now. I will just wait. 🙂
So I learned that in the insurance industry, and in this IMO, agents sell insurance and use third party vendors to assist the Agents in training via “t_a_h_b_e dot com” and then embed the youtube videos in there, and then also have the “leads” or “prospects” who have responded to advertisements requesting for information. The IMO sells leads through the lead vendors.
The pre-licensing course I took, and passed, the AML course I took yesterday, and passed, are pretty straightforward on what we can and CANNOT do in marketing insurance policies. And each carrier have their own rules that I will be contractually bound to.
My goal is to help families. So these are the steps I took extra, so that when the opportunity arises, I would ALSO be licensed to do so.
