Just had to type this good news here. I GOT MY TEXAS STATE LICENSE!!!!!
So for the negatrons who have been putting doubts in my brain …. uhmmm… sorry to burst that little bubble of snark! LOL! Jesus is my Lord, and when I am led to do something, I DO it!
Last night after I submitted my application and the additional requirements, I didn’t really expect it to be approved so quickly!
Let’s see, I gotta timestamp this here, TIMELINES ….
12/20/21, Monday
… called the main office #, no answer.
… prayed about who to call … answer was, “whomever picks up my call will be it. π ” (when you pray, you gotta listen too!)
… called “leader 1” … no answer, but got a text.
… called “leader 2” … twice, no answer.
12/20/21, Tuesday
… called “leader 1” … no answer.
… called “leader 2” … twice, no answer.
… called Main Office … twice, no answer.
… called “leader 3” … no answer.
… called “leader 4” … no answer.
… called Main Office … again, no answer.
… then I got a return call from “Leader 2” at 9:53 am, the call lasted 20 minutes.
The FUN part was he said he doesn’t normally call back people who are not in his address book! And I said I am the same way! LOL! I had to share that it was such a GOD thing! Then I told him I prayed for “whomever will pick up the phone when I call” – and so I knew of course that people are busy and can’t pick up the phone, but when people pray for “specific prayers” to God, we also listen for “specific answers”. π
I got my answer last Tuesday, and so goes the journey!
Leader 2, created a phone group chat with the Hiring Manager, Contracting Manager, Top Houston Agent and me.
… I got an email from the Hiring Manager with instructions on how to prepare for the prelicensing course, passing the exam, fingerprinting which are Texas requirements before you are approved for a license.
… I scheduled the fingerprinting on December 22, 2021 Tuesday (next day)
… I scheduled the exam for Dec 27, 2021 Monday (4 days of study time)
December 22. 2021, Tuesday
… Fingerprinting done, Tuesday afternoon, advised to keep the receipt because it will be submitted and required by the TX State License application.
December 23. 2021, Wednesday to December 26, 2021 Sunday
… Study and preparation time. (four FOCUSED days, my break time was only the recordings for my Audio Bible App project that I was also documenting here. Actually, it was my FUEL – π )
December 27. 2021, Monday
… License Exam Day, 2PM. A couple of hours worth. I got the results after the exam. Woohoo! I passed! 93! When I got home, last night, after traffic, my son asked about my test, and then I handed him the “sheet of paper” – certificate… He said he “thought I would pass the test, but didn’t think I would score that high!”… I couldn’t wipe off the smile off my face, I was elated! Then he took a picture of me and posted it on his IG. π
… I texted the “group”, then I figured I’d go on ahead and apply for the State License since I already have everything. I submitted my application plus all the attachments 9:17 pm. π (To God IS the Glory π )
December 28. 2021, Tuesday
… 2:25 pm, I received an email notification that my State License Application has been approved. 17 HOURS after applying! Such a GOD thing that the State application reviewer responded so favorably and quickly! I figured last Tuesday, that since the Fingerprinting process is a background investigation which includes FBI investigation, that might take a while, I thought about getting that going so that if. Lord willing, I pass the test, then I can apply for the State License on the same day of passing the State Exam. π
Secret sauce is James 1:5 π
“5 If any of you LACK WISDOM, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men LIBERALLY, and upbraideth not; and it SHALL be GIVEN him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.” – James 1:5-6
When we do our best, the rest is ALL up to God. π
… also informed the Group that my application for the State License got approved. So I now officially have a State License to help families! Woohoo!
… I also was informed that a “Contract Manager” will assist me in getting the contracts going (3 – 7 day process), so in the mean time, there are documentation and trainings I need to go through.
Side note… last night, before I slept, and being so grateful to God, I thought about the craziness of working so hard and helping people. Some people don’t understand and they aren’t supposed to. So I will choose not to be offended. They’re not in the shoes of the people who are working so hard to help.
Helping during disasters have taught me so much, about the challenges people face, and the heartbreak it causes them.
When I helped. either from the two NGOs I’m affiliated with, after each trip, when I helped either technically, or manually, or spiritually, “encouraged or ministered to” the victims, it is “draining, emotionally” and have always prayed for “what more can I do” …
… this step I am doing, getting licensed for it too, is something that I can help with families, BEFORE they hit their own version of personal disasters.
When I help AFTER disasters, it is a REACTIVE type of help.
With this Licensing, it will allow me to be a channel in order to give a PROACTIVE type of help.
So yeah, this is a big deal to me. I intend to help as many families, as the Lord God allows me to help.
Last Wednesday, on my way to the Fingerprinting place, I saw a woman, on the middle part of the highway, carrying a sign “Help me” … then as I was driving fast and was too dangerous for me to stop, I put that woman’s face to memory, and prayed that I will go stop after my scheduled fingerprinting appointment, I prayed she’d still be there. So I drove the same way back, after the fingerprinting appointment, and i crossed the highway, to get to her. She’s in her 60’s.
Her name was Emma. She said that she works part time for the school district cafeteria, but she won’t have enough money for rent, or food. When I look at someone eyeball to eyeball – seriously, I can sense when someone is telling the truth. I gave her more than half of the little cash I had, and I asked her if she knows Jesus. She said yes, and so I said let’s pray together. She immediately grabbed my hand, and I prayed for God’s financial provision for her. When I asked her how much she earns from doing this daily, she said about $60 bucks. She said that she does this humbly when she knows she can’t make rent payments and leave it up to God to supply the rest of her rent payment and food. After I handed her my cash, I left and noticed another man in a pick up truck also stopped and handed her cash. I said that I will keep her in my prayers and so, if you’re reading this, pray for her too.
Then on the fingerprinting place, I also spoke to another lady, who voluntarily gave me her mobile phone number and said please call me when you get your License.
Also on the Test Place yesterday, another lady voluntarily gave me her mobile phone number and said please call me when you get your License.
A lot of people need this kind of help π
I pray the contracting process doesn’t take too long. π
