Hey all ADMINS: I just got a client call this morning on a Ticket System installation because their former developer did something wrong on their site, and I did a 3 hour billable to troubleshoot. Noting it here so y’all watch out on your installations.
Make sure that the DB users, or ANY developer that has access to your client sites do not mess around with the Ticket Portal System. I was able to fix it in about an hour, but I had to do a reinstall, and another user testing on the Workflow. So three hours. I was able to do that quickly because I know the software, but would need to reiterate that I use my developer license on that and there might be some automated issues that will happen if “others” try to customize it. I can do the “safe” customization, but there are other files that should NOT be touched.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
And always have a dev site, when in doubt, just call or text me on Signal. 🙂 (That’s what the client did, they said they were trying to work on it since yesterday).
P.S. I have a conference call between 2 to 3pm, it’s not on my calendar. (MOD, or CON, please take over. 🙂
