Brief Summary of want went wrong in the Ticket System:
Issues found:
1) Could not add User Admins and User Operators / Staff
2) When you try to edit a Notification email, everything goes blank.
3) Can’t change the status of tickets. It won’t save.
4) The Password recovery returns blank
5) The images on the AXN Ticket pages were all out of wack.
6) The timestamps on emails is one hour OFF.
Attempted fixes:
1) Backed up old files.
2) Changed the path temporarily
3) Downloaded zip from devs
4) Created new path
5) Uploaded unzipped files
6) Went into DB to insert users
7) Still returns blanks
8) Reviewed other portals
9) Noticed the different versions, v31 was pulling v32 fields from scripts.
FInal fix:
1) Downloaded v32 from AXN
2) Doublechecked my Dev License
3) New DB
4) Put suffix on DB tables
5) New installation on old path (SEO)
6) Code tweaks for “Powered by” included since YEAR to CURRENT YEAR.
7) On the Dashboard, the “Reports” and the “Preview and Install” and the “Save” on the “Profile Page” buttons were not displaying initially, but it was just a cache issue. So if you notice that, just Control +F5 twice, or open the page in an incognito window.
8) Fixed the images on the AXN Ticket pages were all out of wack so I just reuploaded the media files. (It was pulling from another installation)
9) On the ticket timestamps, it was off because it was using GMT, so I set it to GMT – 5:00 for CST.
Workflows:
1) Created content and smartcodes and tested the automation for
– new tickets
– login credentials
– Support ticket – client login pages (ticket, new-ticket, client-log-in)
– updated the html file
– updated the forgot password email notification.
– each staff reply can be rated by the client.
– I also included the timestamp for when the Ticket was created, and the Time a staff responds to it. We promise within 48 business hours. 🙂
2) Fixed AXN Ticket pages.
So all these I did from yesterday to today. I kept track of the tasks by creating Tickets on what I was testing, and what I am finding out on it. And then just went on ahead and deployed installed, tweaked, and so now it’s all fixed.
So I am also fixing AXN, with the tweaks I did at the Tech Site. I have to get it out of Maintenance Mode because I am getting hammered with freebie consulting again and I have to prioritize. My Doc friend had to tell me “then STOP doing it!. Let them go through your calendar or ticket system!”
WHY IS A TICKET SYSTEM IMPORTANT?
It works like slack, P2, but everything is on your own website servers. On your own databases. Most Ticket Systems are SaaS.
There are two ways to notify the staff and the client, via email, or via logging in.
Ticket or Project Files are in one place. The client and staff only receives notifications that the ticket has a new reply, or a new ticket, or a response from the client. The client can also rate each response from the staff. The timestamps help in monitoring compliance to SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
For clients who pay consultants per billable hour, this is important for them to see.
So will I put a Ticket System here too? (I hope!)
At AXN
I finished the following:
1. Updated the pw reset link
2. Verbiage on Email notifications.
3. Worked on and closed all tickets.
4. SLA met with excellent ratings!
Immersion, full undivided attention works. (Disconnect from phone, or put it on DND to eliminate distractions.
Also just use your separate test emails for testing, so that you are not distracted by external emails as you are trying to analyze and troubleshoot.
Also added the powered by and “since” year up to present year. (so it automatically updates per year).
That would help us to know which installations have been updated and upgraded. ,
Updated the AXN and Tech Ticket portals, all should be good. I am noting these things here because this has become like my social media (or anti-social).
There are a whole lot of emails I receive and gazillions more when we’re testing something, especially the automation part or modules that have automation. So if you’ve sent me an email and you are someone important, pick up the phone and call my phone, leave a voicemail or text me via Signal App.
So for any website, you can have separate portals from within one domain.
1) The Main Company Website with Pages
2) The Main Company Blog with Posts
3) Client Ticket System (which is prioritized over the Contact Form) – for 2 way private communication between Client (either Vendors or Customers) & Staff
4) Customized Forum – for Community / Members Only communication
5) Simple Contact Form, (that can serve as a back up in case your Ticket System has a glitch, or your Forum Member can’t login and need help).
6) Group Chat for Forum Members
7) Conference Call Online Phone for Clients and / or Forum Members (during Scheduled Conference Calls).
8) Shopping Cart
9) Marketplace (for Vendors and Forum Members)
10) Product Q and A between Vendors and Customers
11) Schedule an appointment, start and pay for a Project Package Online
A lot of people are moving out of social media and creating their own sites. If you don’t want to get your employees, your customers, your vendors, your connections, and your friends and family members monetized, start your own website.
Social Media sites can cancel your account for whatever reason they choose. Search engines can censor you and “deindex” your website, but it doesn’t matter because there are other “search engines” that people use, what’s important is, you have your content online, and it is just a matter of sharing the direct link to your content. I “sprinkle my articles” in different websites and help out however way I can. A lot more people are using forums to share information. So, I can’t reveal way too much on these comments section, but will maybe go fill up the Members Only Forum and make the posts viewable ONLY to Forum Members.

The cookies while logged here are all WP cookies. All 9 of them. So they are all okay and safe. They are deleted when a user logs out.
Note to self,
1) Copy the “How To Clear your cache” and all that jazz that I have shared in so many forums, to turn it into a blog post too, so that in case I decide to password protect a forum, the article can still be searched, and I can just easily share the link to it.
2) Teach people how to protect their devices, SHOW them with screenshots, like what I did for PJ.
